Rotterdam-based specialist insurance broker Independen Risk Solutions (IRS) has merged with Insure Direct Brokers LLC, a subsidiary of Dubai World. The new group has offices in Dubai, Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Rotterdam and Malta. IRS is specialized in providing end-to-end insurance coverage to the marine, the oil- and gas sector and major on- and off-shore construction projects. In addition it is offering a wide variety of liability insurance policies. Insure Direct Brokers is a leading Dubai-based supplier of insurance brokerage services. Combination of the operations of Insure Direct's leading position in the Middle East and IRS's strength in high-end and value added lines of business in the marine and energy-related industries in the Netherlands has created and global specialist in its markets which will be able to even better services its global clients. Solveigh acted as advisor to the seller.
