Responsibility

Our business is not about money; that is just a means for us. It is also not about fulfilling our mission to the best of our own interest only. We feel responsible for our customers, for our employees and the people we work with. We believe in accountability, not only to our shareholders and customers, but to other stakeholders as well. For that reason and as a matter of principal, a part of our earnings is allocated to charity projects for child care in Asia, because we care. This aid is given through trusted professional welfare organizations.

Solveigh has made a longer term commitment to Tear, a Christian relief and development charity with the vision to transform the lives of millions of the world´s poorest people, in a positive and sustainable way based on an integral mission. That means giving practical help alongside hope, through emotional and spiritual support to those in need regardless of race, gender or religion.

And for 2012 we also have the privilege to contribute to a fundraising event organised by one of our valued business partners. The funds raised will be doubled by the fundraiser and will be donated to two children's charities: the Smile Train providing cleft surgery for some of the world's poorest children, and the Kariandusi School Trust, help finishing building a school on the Kenya Somalia Boarder. The Kariandusi School Trust is the brain child of a retired British army officer, which is seeking to provide secondary education to 150 young Kenyans who otherwise would not have been able to get educated to better their own circumstances and those of their communities.
