SMRT Corporation, a company in public transport in Singapore listed on the Stock Exchange in Singapore has acquired a 49% equity interest in Shenzhen Zona, China subject to final approval of the authorities. Shenzhen Zona is a limited liability company incorporated in the PRC and is engaged in providing taxi services and car and bus repair within Shenzhen; town and county bus services, car leasing, scheduled bus services, tour, chartered and coach services and inter-city bus services within and beyond Shenzhen; and public bus and mini bus services outside the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. Upon the completion of the Acquisition, Shenzhen Zona will be an associate company of the Company and will be changed from a PRC domestic limited liability company to a sino-foreign joint venture limited liability company. Solveigh has originated and managed the transaction through its Chinese team in Hong Kong.
